1st Year Cadets
Encampments across Civil Air Patrol each provide opportunities for positive growth, expanding experience, and building comradery so you’ll grow into a valued cadet leader for the future. Are you self-disciplined? Can you lead? Can you genuinely work as a team? These are some of the questions the cadre will help you answer for yourself as you participate in awesome, hands-on activities and tours. Specifically, our goal is to inspire you to
• develop leadership skills,
• learn about aviation, space, and technology,
• commit to a habit of regular exercise and
• live the Core Values.
As cadets of the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, your training will emphasize leadership and character, fitness, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) as you explore career opportunities in those areas and so much more.
The Hawaii Wing Cadet Leadership Group is held annually during the summer. We are excited to share with our first-time cadet students what to expect during their week-long encampment experience. Each tab on the left of the website will provide you with the support and information you need to be prepared for the day of your arrival and check-in.
Cadre and Senior Members
As a leader, you are expected to uphold a positive standard that contributes to the mission, objectives, and goals of training our first-year cadets in the Civil Air Patrol. Your role is to highlight and promote the positive aspects of the Civil Air Patrol through rigorous training for each first-year cadet, whether as the encampment executive cadre, flight staff, training officers, or essential encampment staff. It's crucial to adhere to all rules, policies, guidelines, regulations, and chain-of-command in order to support our efforts in enhancing everyone's experience positively. We are a team that will collaborate for week-long training, and your dedicated leadership is essential.
Again, we welcome our first-year cadet students, cadet cadre, and senior members to the Hawaii Wing Cadet Training Group. Please use the guides to the left to assist you with additional questions and or concerns.
