Arrivals:

The 8th CTG Hawaii Wing Summer Encampment encourages specific travel arrangements to facilitate timely attendance and an efficient check-in process. We recognize that individuals traveling from the outer islands or out of state may incur separate air travel costs. To assist our members in securing the most economical options, we advise careful consideration of air travel arrangements.

*Ground transportation will be provided by a licensed CAP driver from the airport to the Lyman Field Composite Squadron check-in location. Parents or Guardians accompanying your Cadet, please advise in your travel itinerary if you will be personally dropping off your Cadet.

The 8th CTG Hawaii Wing Summer Encampment warmly invites all parents and guardians to the inspiring graduation ceremony on Saturday, July 19, 2025. This important event is tentatively scheduled to begin at 10:00 A.M. at Kilauea Military Camp. You will be able to witness your Cadets showcase their hard work and dedication in a proud pass and review as they march around the camp's parade field.

Parents or guardians who attend should pick up their cadet from check-out at the Lyman Composite Squadron. For those parents or guardians who are unable to attend, alternative arrangements for their return home should be provided as follows: 

Departure date: Saturday, 19 JUL 2025 

Departure time: 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. 

Check-out time: 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M 

Departure Airport: Hilo International

Encampment Code of Conduct:

The Safety of our members is paramount and will not be compromised. 

The CAP Core Values will be honored at all times. 

The Chain of Command must be observed and respected, except in safety matters. 

Hazing and Fraternization will NOT be tolerated. 

No alcohol, tobacco, or non-prescribed controlled substances are tolerated on the premises.

No weapons are tolerated on the premises. 

No gambling or objectionable reading material is allowed on the premises. 

Cadets will remain in their beds after lights out, except for emergencies and bathroom trips. 

Members will adhere to proper hygiene (showers, teeth, etc.) and uniform appearance. 

Proper sign-in and sign-out procedures must be observed.

If cell phones or electronic devices are brought to the encampment, they will be turned in during shakedown and returned to concluding the encampment.

Cadets will, at no time, operate a motor vehicle while signed in. 

Cadets will not ride in vehicles not operated by a designated and certified CAP-licensed driver while signed in. 

Attending Encampment:

Cadets must have attained and completed their Achievement 1 Curry before applying for summer encampment. 

Cadet Cadre and adult members are required to participate in all necessary training sessions prior to the encampment, as well as during the two days immediately preceding its commencement.

Cadet Protection Program Training:

All students, Cadet Cadre, and Adult Members aged 18 and older who intend to participate in the encampment are required to complete the Cadet Protection Program Training (CPPT) prior to registering. It is essential that this training is current, as stipulated by the National Headquarters.
